Text-first interfaces
Words are the cheapest, most accessible UI primitive we have.
Before reaching for a component library, try writing the interface as a paragraph. If you can’t explain the screen in two sentences, no amount of cards and tabs will save it.
Text scales down to a feature phone and up to a screen reader. It translates, searches, copies, and diffs. Every fancier primitive gives up some of that for decoration.
This site is an experiment in taking that seriously.
